Happy Mothers Day 2009

I know that it has been awhile since my last post but I didn’t think that getting a new house all put up would take so long and I’m still not done.I still have to hang some more pictures on the wall and have some rooms better made up than what there are now and I mostly mean the rooms Todd has decided to make his own.Well anyway this year was Jaidens first Mothers Day and we spent it in good old Texas. We had invited some of the neighbors over to celebrate with us since their husbands were deployed and we didn’t want them to spend it alone at home bored. It was a good day for everyone,we ate,had some drinks and had a good time chatting.Jaiden was crawling all over the place making herself known and she looked soo cute in her little dress.DSC01259

Hi :-)

Jaiden Taylor Morris was born this morning at 6:23am. She weighs 6lbs 13oz and is 19 1/2 inches long.

I have to get back to the hospital … all is well … but they make everyone stay for 24 hours.

I just popped home real quick, and had a chance to edit a couple of pictures. For those who don’t like baby pictures I apologize … but for those who do, I hope you enjoy looking at these half as much as I do ;-)

Talk to you again real soon,
Todd

Babies never seem to be terribly thrilled about being out in the real world …

She was a little happier once she got some clothes on …

Of course she was even more content to get back to mommy …

Then it was time for a nap (the shirt cracks me up … we won’t be taking that one home with us)

And finally, here’s a close-up shot of Jaiden sleeping …

Larger versions of these images are on my Flickr Page. I’ll be adding more pictures there as I get a chance to do more editing.

Texas chow

OK,we have been in Texas for about two weeks now and it’s getting better. We have been out a few times to try the local Texas cuisine. We first tried the Olive Garden because I keep seeing the commercials when I was in Hawaii and it looked really good but I was a little disappointed after we got there.I actually prefer the Macaroni Grill,it’s really yummy. We also have gone to Cici’s(my hubby loves their price) and the Golden Corral. So far the kids favorite has been the Texas Roadhouse.Their food is really good, the bread is soo yummy and the price isn’t too bad.We still have so much to try and we will get there slowly seeing as we won’t be leaving here anytime soon.DSC01103
